Warnambool Day Trip

We are running a cruisey family trip to Warnambool and back via the bush after dark.

This will be a long day and looking to return home between 1 and 2am. No tracks will be driven on this trip, only the main dirt roads through the bush.

• We will meet at the Ampol Service Center in the Macca's carpark at 7.30am.
• We will depart at 8am sharp unless everyone is there earlier. It is about a 3hr drive to Warnambool so we will make some short stops along the way for the toilet or to stretch legs.
• We are aiming to be in Warnambool by 12pm where we will have lunch at the Lake Pertobe park where the big adventure playground is.
• At 1pm we will head to Flagstaff Hill for a few hours.
• After leaving Flagstaff Hill we may do a drive through Tower Hill or go past the whale viewing spot before we head to a Pub for dinner at 5.30pm. Which pub is yet to be confirmed.
• We will leave the pub at 7pm to drive back along the Great Ocean Rd to Maits Rest to see the glow worms.
• We will skip the forest walk as it will be about 9pm when we arrive there.
• After seeing the glow worms we will drive back to Kennet River, stopping in Apollo bay for toilets and to change kids into pjs and continue to Grey River Road through the bush and head home via Lorne (longer way) or Forrest (quicker way) depending on how late it is and how cooked everyone is from the long day. So this will be a very late night.

This is mainly aimed towards families with kids, as such spots will be prioritized to those bringing children. however all welcome depending on numbers.

This trip is capped at 10 cars however if there is enough interest we may split into 2 groups with a 2nd trip leader.

Flagstaff hill have given us a group price of $44.55 per family (2 adults & 2 children) to enter for the day. Contact us for pricing for additional children. To secure the group booking price money needs to be paid to us prior to the event as flagstaff require payment in one transaction for the group. Please contact Anthony or Nicole to organise payment.

Plan for wet weather as the trip will go ahead even if its raining.
